Hi! We are the KIDD lab at Lafayette College.
At the intersection of engineering design, psychology, and education, our research explores three key questions:
- How do designers use domain knowledge in engineering design?
- How do designers’ individual differences influence how they design?
- How does designers’ use of domain knowledge interact with their individual differences?
Using quantitative and qualitative research methods, our lab is exploring answers to these questions in several domains including design for additive manufacturing, sustainable design, and creativity. Check out more about what we do, here!
